The Art of Botanical Syrups and Shrubs with Land + Local

Wind down your day with an herbal aperitivo hour led by Kim La Vere, the chef and herbalist behind Land + Local, Sonoma County’s beloved maker of seasonal botanical mixers. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the basics of herbalism while learning how to craft small-batch shrubs and mixers using local fruits, herbs, and medicinal plants.

Together, we’ll create two custom, seasonal flavors—one shrub and one mixer—while tasting, experimenting, and learning along the way.

In this workshop you’ll:

• Learn the fundamentals of shrubs and botanical mixers
• Explore herbs, fruits, and plants used for flavor and function
• Taste and experiment with seasonal ingredients
• Create one custom shrub and one botanical mixer
• Gain recipes and ideas to continue making mixers at home

You’ll leave with two unique, non-alcoholic mixers for your home bar, along with recipes and inspiration to keep experimenting.

Light snacks and drinks will be served. No prior experience required.
