Knitting Next Steps: Your First Sweater | 4 Tuesdays
Dates: 4 Tuesdays, March 10, March 24, April 7, April 21 • 4:00-6:00 pm
Ready to take the leap from accessories to garments? In this supportive, hands-on workshop, you’ll knit your very first sweater—step by step, together.
This class meets every other week over two months, giving you time to knit between sessions while staying supported throughout the process. Together, we’ll work through a beginner-friendly sweater pattern designed to build confidence without overwhelm, focusing on understanding how sweaters actually come together so you can continue knitting garments long after the class ends.
In this workshop you’ll:
- Learn how to read and follow a sweater pattern
- Take measurements and choose the correct size
- Understand basic sweater construction
- Practice knitting in the round, shaping, and finishing techniques
- Learn how to troubleshoot common issues with confidence
There is an expectation of homework between sessions so that everyone arrives at each class ready to focus on the next set of skills. This pacing allows us to use class time for instruction, questions, and problem-solving rather than catching up.
This workshop is a great fit if you’re comfortable with knit and purl stitches and ready for your next challenge.
A detailed materials list and workshop breakdown will be sent upon registration. Materials are not included and should be purchased ahead of the first session.
Cost: $180 for 4 sessions
