Gifting Naturally: Hand-Poured Candles & Holiday Garland | Saturday, Dec 6
Date: Saturday, December 6 • 4 - 6pm
Join us for a joyful, hands-on afternoon celebrating light, craft, and nature. In this holiday workshop, you’ll learn how to pour your own candles and create a dried strawflower garland—two beautiful, long-lasting pieces perfect for decorating your home or gifting to someone special.
In the candle-making portion, Jessy Gaumann of Descendants Art Studio will guide you through the process of hand-pouring two candles: one in a handcrafted ceramic vessel made by Jessy, and one in an antique container. You’ll work with 100% soy wax, choose from a range of fragrance oils, and learn the fundamentals of candle pouring, wicking, and scent blending.
Then, you’ll embrace the beauty of dried florals by crafting an everlasting 40" strawflower garland using blooms grown and dried by Chelsea herself. These resilient flowers retain their shape and color, offering a joyful, sustainable way to honor the season year after year.
Whether you’re an experienced maker or new to crafting, this workshop offers a festive, nurturing space to create, connect, and take home something truly special.
You’ll take home:
- Two hand-poured soy candles (one ceramic, one antique vessel)
- One 40" dried strawflower garland
