Do I need the Maker's Board to use this?
No — the ruler and needle gauge work fine on their own. The Maker's Board just gives them a magnetic surface to snap onto.

What is this made from, and is it eco-friendly?
It's made from PLA, a biodegradable, plastic-free material derived from fermented plant starch — not petroleum-based plastic.

Will the magnets fall out over time?
No — they're formed directly into the PLA during manufacturing rather than glued in, so they're held securely.

Can it get wet?
