Beginning Crochet: Next Steps
2 Tuesdays, August 18 + 25
Ready to build on your crochet foundation? This two-part workshop is designed for crocheters who are comfortable with the basics and are ready to learn the next set of techniques that open the door to more patterns and projects.
Over two sessions, you'll explore working in the round, shaping through increases, and following written patterns before learning the versatile corner-to-corner (C2C) technique to create a finished cloth. Along the way, you'll build confidence reading your work, maintaining even tension, and finishing projects neatly.
In this workshop you'll:
- Learn how to crochet in the round and recognize stitch structure
- Practice increasing to create flat and shaped crochet pieces
- Follow a simple written crochet pattern
- Learn the corner-to-corner (C2C) technique
- Finish your work with clean edging, fastening off, and woven ends
By the end of the workshop, you'll complete a simple corner-to-corner cloth while gaining practical skills you can apply to a wide variety of future crochet projects.
